Private historic tours of the castle grounds for groups of up to 20 people are available for a fixed price of 70€. Arrangements must be scheduled in advance. Please contact besucherservice@sdmuseum.de
Members of the Deutscher Museumsbund e.V. can visit the museum at the reduced ticket price. Please show your membership card at the entrance.
Our Senior discount applies to adults aged 65 and over. Please be prepared to provide proof of identification at check in.
Our student discount applies to students of all ages with valid identification.
Regular ticket price includes access to the sculpture park.
Tickets can be cancelled via the link in your booking confirmation email up to two hours before the booked time slot.

An annual pass is available for the Regular, Reduced and Sculpture Park ticket options.
With the annual pass, tickets can be purchased online free of charge for all timeslots or at the entrance. We recommend booking a ticket online in advance, as the quota per hour is limited. Upon presentation of your annual pass, you will receive a 25% discount in the café and tea salon.
The annual pass is personalized and non-transferable. Valid for 12 months from date of purchase. Please present proof at checkout. Delivery by mail.

Press
Journalists reporting on the museum can register in advance by sending an email to besucherservice@sdmuseum.de. We will then be happy to grant free admission. Please show your press card together with your ticket at the entrance on the day of your visit.
Visitor Regulations & Access
We kindly ask all visitors to respect our unique site and its special ambiance. Please refrain from talking on mobiles in the galleries or speaking in a loud voice. * Every young visitor must be accompanied by an adult. In the galleries, every young visitor must hold the hand of an adult or remain in their physical control at all times. We do not admit groups with more children than adults without advance written agreement. Any visitors, including children that are loud or disruptive will be asked to leave the galleries immediately. Please consider the suitability of our venue if you would like to bring a child with you.
Please be kind to our park. Please do not pick flowers, cut plants or disturb animals, birds or fish in any way during your visit. Please stay on the paths. To keep our grounds in the best possible condition we do not allow pets of any kind nor do we allow visitors to bring food or drinks past the gate. All guests have access to Café Galactico, where refreshments including specialty coffee, juice, wine, sandwiches, quiche, soup, cakes and cookies are available for purchase.
The museum is not barrier-free. Some paths on the castle grounds are impassable due to gravel surfaces and can only be used to a limited extent without an electric wheelchair. A lift in the museum provides access to the exhibitions on the first and second floors. Between the rooms on the ground floor, there are doorways with low steps. However, our supervisory team will be happy to assist you.
We are happy to provide a wheelchair if required. To ensure that a wheelchair is available on the day of your visit, please book in advance by email to besucherservice@sdmuseum.de

Please help us maintain a healthy and safe environment for all our visitors and staff by observing the following guidelines:
- New: As of Sunday, April 3, 2022, the previously applicable Covid regulations will no longer apply. However, we still recommend that our visitors wear a mask inside the museum.
- We are following the current Hildesheim Corona Guidelines.
- Hand sanitizing stations have been installed at multiple locations throughout the buildings and grounds.
- Visitors are asked to refrain from visiting if they are feeling unwell in any way, or if, over the last fourteen days, they have had symptoms of or tested positive for COVID-19, been in close contact with someone diagnosed with COVID-19, or have visited a high infection area.
- An inherent risk of exposure to COVID-19 exists in any public place where people are present. By visiting the Kunstmuseum Schloss Derneburg, you voluntarily assume all risks related to exposure to COVID-19.
